Short hiatus to move..

I’m moving to Florida in two weeks, so I won’t be online much if any. My internet will be disconnected sometime within the next few days. I don’t know how long it’ll be before I’ll have net once I get moved, hopefully within a few days, but ya never know…lol

See you all soon!!

—> Here are some pixels I did this past week for daily challenges at Corrupted Carousel. (Just some quickie scenery thingies!) Everything is by me.

In memory of a friend…

Originally posted on my blog on April 29th:

I’ve been sitting here, shifting my stare from the monitor to the keyboard to the monitor, trying to find the words to describe how I feel. This, I find, is virtually impossible.

Yesterday, I learned of a terrible loss to myself, friends, the internet, the world. A dear dear friend passed suddenly, at the tender age of 51, leaving her family and friends in absolute heartache.

I had the pleasure, the honor, of meeting and getting to know this wonderful woman just three years ago. From the first moment, I knew there was something so very special about her. Her words were eloquent, her love of art and people obvious, and her zest for life so evident in everything she said and wrote. She was such an inspirational and uplifting person. Her kind heart shone through in every word she shared. Her art was… beyond amazing. Her talents were, simply put, extraordinary.

I can never repay the kindness she showed me other than to remember her for the person she was; for the inspiration she quickly became; for the love and friendship she shared with me, and everyone around her.

In honor and in memory…

May your light shine eternal…

This is for the BOTM challenge at Fractured Fairytales. I have always wanted to doll this beautiful base of Teri’s, but never had the nerve because it’s so big. Today I decided to step outside my comfort zone and at least attempt it, and literally worked on it all day, probably 6 hours at least. I really wish I had gotten the nerve to do this while Teri was with us- her input would have been invaluable. I really hope I did it justice…

NOT FOR ADOPTION

Base is, of course, by Teri <3

Newest dollie…

I decided to step outside the box a bit with this one and try some new things… I like the results, even though the background is not exactly like I wanted, but close.

Fabulous base by Hollay, background by me.

Earth Day 2008

One of the required activities for Delta Dolls (Fractured Fairytales) his month is to created a doll doing something good for the Earth in celebration of Earth Day (an original idea by Spacecase!) using the colors blue and green. So this is what I came up with… my girl has just planted a tree!

Base by MBladez, Props are mine

Sky background was added for displaying purposes only.

Another one? HOMG! lol

I adore the bases Hollay makes, and since I adore them I have to use them. So, this adoration led to another awakening of my muse (thank God) and this is the result…

Now I just gotta keep my fickle muse happy so I can play with more dollies ;)
